May I have your attention please…
Dec 25, 2019Hello, old friends. It’s been a while. I’ve missed you! I hope this holiday season finds you well and full of anticipation for the weeks to come.
As you may know, it’s been a tough season in the Epling house. I have missed this little corner of the web we share here, but my time and attention were needed more at home, and I was glad to give them there. I’m sure we’ll talk more about that later, but I just wanted you to know that I am here. I am working. I am making my way back. My mojo is returning.
And in that spirit… I have an announcement.
A few Christmases ago, I was straightening up the boys’ room when I noticed their Fisher-Price nativity scene was missing something…
Baby Jesus.
Of course, it couldn’t have been a donkey or a palm tree or even the plastic angel. No. We were missing THE CENTRAL FIGURE of the whole shebang. Surely this said something about my parenting, right?
The next year, this anecdote became a devotional for a parents’ night out at my church.
Last year, it became the launching point for a short series of Advent devotionals given to moms at my church.
And this year… Finding Jesus: A Christmas Devotional is available as a book!!!
This short devotional was written for you, the busy woman. The woman who wants to dig a little deeper this Christmas. The woman who longs to use the season to celebrate without losing sight of the Savior we are honoring.
